The idea for SIID was first conceived in 2019 as a tool similar to Grammarly, but for detecting bias in advertising. However, after the murder of George Floyd in 2020, the vision shifted to using the same AI technology to inform police training and promote fairness and equity within the criminal legal system.

Kristi is a multifaceted creative with 20+ years of experience working for startups, design studios, and media agencies, with clients spanning a broad array of industries including tech, entertainment, and publishing.
Charlie studied industrial design, computing & digital technologies at Notre Dame. He founded and built a freelance marketplace for college students while he was at the university, launching his web-development career and piquing his interest in entrepreneurship.
